For each additional family member, another $5,000 is allowed.
You are eligible to receive two week’s supplemental food until food stamps, WIC, or other relief is received for the month.
Where does our food come from?
1. Much is donated by institutions, clubs, or by St. Matthew parishioners.
2. The bulk of food items comes from distribution from Community Action organizations that ascertain it from distributors.
3. P.A.R. – Professionals, home gardeners, orchards, etc., who plant an extra garden row. WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO PLANT A LITTLE EXTRA TO DONATE?
4. Senior Farmshare, i.e., you will receive at least $100 worth of vegetables if you are at least 65 years of age or older.
For more information please contact our Food Pantry (793-2244), or the Area Agency for Aging (1-877-353-3771) for a list of cooperating farmers.
